Hi everyone! I’m Mackenzie, but you can call me Mac. I adore music, theater, poetry, and love gardening. In my free time I’m usually writing, spending time with my friends, or sculpting.
Why did you become an Evansville birth doula ?
Two of the things I’ve always valued the most is connecting with people and advocating for those who need me. Birth is a beautifully emotional experience, to be able to help someone through, and that is such a privilege. I think that everyone deserves to feel beautiful at every stage in their life and I want to help remind people that the body is beautiful in every phase.
What do you love about living in Evansville ?
I love the art and poetry community here ! I’ve made a lot of very wonderful friends over the years in those spaces and it’s so nice to be able to enjoy those things together !
Where can we find you on a typical Saturday ?
I often spend the time at home relaxing or having a friend over, or going out with some.
I also tend to utilize the day emotionally recharging and doing some mental self care.
What types of clients are you excited to work with ?
I’m excited to work with people who want to be really in the moment emotionally with their baby and those around them; people who want to be just as present and connected to themselves as well. Someone who’s looking to be especially mindful in the compassion side of this experience.
